WHY ADPI?

“During Fall Formal Recruitment, the moment I sat down with the woman of Alpha Delta Pi, I felt understood and cared for. I never felt like I had to put up a facade and was able to be my authentic self. I was able to make friendships with women I knew actually cared about me and my well-being. It is indescribable for me, talking to someone I had just met, but I knew they would have a lifelong impact on my life and who I would become. When I chose Alpha Delta Pi, I knew it was going to be so much more than just friends and acquaintances I met while at college. I found women that would be with me in my highest highs and lowest lows, all throughout my life. That is all I wanted and could ever ask for and Alpha Delta Pi has done nothing but given me a glimpse of the joys it will bring to me all throughout my life.”

RECRUITMENT TIPS

Paige’s recruitment tips:

- Do whatever will make you feel the most confident and happy! If asking a member a certain question will help you feel more comfortable in your decision, ask it! If wearing a unique and different dress will make you more confident and comfortable, wear it! This process is really about making sure your needs and desires are fulfilled.

- Keep an open mind. While it is easy to be drawn to chapters girls in your recruitment group or friends like, do not focus on that. It is important that you choose a chapter that is the best fit for you!

- Trust the process. I know that you will hear this a million times, but there is a reason for that. I know that recruitment can be a tiring and stressful week, but it has proven to work so well over the years. Be patient and remember everything will happen how it is supposed to.

- Really take time to reflect on what you value in your life and friendships. It is important that you join a chapter that is able to give you lifelong support and care. So while you feel you may be making a decision that will affect your college life, you're actually making a decision that will impact the rest of your life (which is so exciting)!

- Make friendships! You will have the opportunity to meet hundreds of women who come from all different places, majors, and eventually chapters! This is such an amazing time to make friends and that is something I wish I did more of when going through the process.
