The first secret society for women, Alpha Delta Pi was founded as the Adelphean Society in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia. For its founders, ADPi was more than a ritual or symbol; it was a way of life. ADPi was founded at the University of Kansas on May 15, 1912. We are the Tau chapter, one of the oldest ADPi chapters in the United States. Since then, we have relentlessly and unwaveringly championed the sacred values that define our chapter. The four points of our beloved diamond represent scholarship, sisterhood, service, and character. Come home to the Tau chapter of ADPi and experience a group of women who will inspire you to be the best version of yourself throughout your collegiate experience and beyond.
